Really Easy Spaghetti

Like, Really Easy

This meal started as a “what do we have in our pantry that we need the least amount of ingredients to complete” and ended as the same! It’s that easy.  We looked through a few of our cookbooks and found two very similar Spaghetti recipes that are minimal in ingredients and work.  First is the Spaghetti with 10-minute basic tomato sauce from Keepers Cookbook.  The second is Classic Tomato Spaghetti from Jamie’s Food Revolution.  The main difference is the type of tomato you will use.  One is diced, one is whole peeled.  We chose diced, no reason why.  Also, we toasted a baguette in the oven with babybel swiss.  If there was an emoji for kissing my fingers like you do when something is delicious and perfect, I would use that here.  Hopefully you know the face I am talking about, otherwise I just sound creepy.

So These are the Ingredients We Ended Up Using

2 cloves of garlic

1 red chili deseeded

Fresh basil

Salt and pepper

A bundle of spaghetti

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 14 ounce can of diced tomatos

Parmesan Cheese

How to Cook

Cook spaghetti as directed by box/bag

Dice or thinly slice garlic, red chili and basil

Saute garlic, red chili and basil until garlic starts to brown then add tomato

Stir for one minute on high

Season with salt and pepper

Drain spaghetti and add to tomato sauce
